Kellie Martin is an American film, television and stage performer. Her most notable parts include Christy Huddleston (Christy) as part of the period show Christy", Rebecca Thatcher (Life Goes On) in Life Goes On; and Lucy Knight ("ER") in the medical drama ER". She is also known for playing the title role in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin began her acting career when she was seven years old. Her aunt, who served as the nanny of actor Michael Landon's children, helped her land one small part on the television series Father Murphy. When she completed her studies at Yale University in 1982, Martin decided to pursue her acting career more serious. She landed significant roles in television and big screens. Martin has also been as a dancer and photographer. Her sister, who died from Lupus at the age of 19, was the inspiration behind her becoming the Lupus national spokesperson.
